It received its identity as the newly created state of Uttaranchal on November 9th, 2000. This division was brought about by the U.P. The government gave this area little consideration.
The cultural divide between the inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh and the Hill people of Uttarakhand was the second factor in this division. Except for Tehri Garhwal, the entire state of Uttarakhand was under the control of the British Empire by the year 1815. Additionally, the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand was established in 1926. It was Anusuya Prashad Bahuguna who proposed splitting Uttarakhand into two areas. On the Indian state map, Uttarakhand was added as the 27th state.
Kedarkhand (Garhwal area) and Manaskhand were given the names of additional divisions of Uttarakhand (Kumaon region). When the President of India approved a statute in December 2006, Uttaranchal was renamed Uttarakhand. The Kauravas, Guptas, Kushanas, Katyuris, Kunindas Palas, Chands, Panwars, and British all held power in turn throughout Uttarakhand.

The main celebration, Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh Mela, draws both domestic and foreign tourists. You might be wondering why the Kumbh Mela is only observed in Haridwar and not in other cities. This has to do with the Samudra Manthan, an epic tale in which the son of Lord Indra stole the pot of Amrit (the nectar drink of immortality) from God and the devils and fled for nearly 12 years, stopping eight times to rest. Wherever he rested, a few drops of Amrit would fall.
Haridwar, Ujjain, Prayagraj, and Nasik are the only four of these locations that are on Earth, while the other four are in heaven. For this reason, Kumbh Mela is only observed in these locations. The people of Uttarakhand are linked by the festivals they celebrate with all of their hearts, despite the fact that there are several dancing styles, musical genres, clothing codes, and foods that vary from district to district.
